In August of 2016, I was lucky to have a friend invite me and a bunch of others down to the Caribbean for a week of sailing. She is a captain who does chartered tours of the British Virgin Islands. She was able to procure a 48' catamaran at a decent price. So for one week, 15 of us lived a life that (in any other circumstances) would be beyond our means. The shortness of the trip allowed the novelty of wealth to not wear thin. We saw fish, urchins, octopi, cuttlefish, rays, a ghost ship, a full moon, sunburns, and the private island of the man who names every company he owns "Virgin." All around: 10/10.
